About the Chef
José Santaella is the CEO and master chef of JSB Cooking Group, the premier gourmet catering company of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Trained in Barcelona, New York and San Francisco, with master chefs Ferrán Adriá (El Bulli), Eric Ripert (Le Bernardin), and Gary Danko (The Dining Room), Santaella is clearly the trend-setting caterer in Puerto Rico. The University of Puerto Rico Press recently recognized Santaella with the cover piece of “Puerto Rico: Grand Cuisine of the Caribbean,” a book featuring nine master chefs and prologued by three-star Michelin chefs Santi Santamaría and Eric Ripert.
José’s passion for the kitchen started at a very young age. Such passion, tied to his engaging personality, has led him to become the undisputed provider for fine dining events in the Island.
